Track the real arrival
Not the time printed on the ticket.
Almost never the driving. A scheduled time used instead of the real one, and luggage nobody counted.
Flights move. A pickup planned against the printed time either leaves early or sits racking up charges, which is why the actual arrival has to be monitored and the waiting time agreed in advance.
Luggage decides the vehicle more often than passenger count does. Six people with a week of bags do not fit where six people with carry-ons do, and finding that out at the curb is nobody's idea of a good start.
And schedules need margin. Timings built on perfect traffic fail the first time it rains, so we plan with room and say where the room is rather than hiding it.
